The Inner Light Project: Dianne's Story
Dianne: The Rhythm of Quiet Love
Dianne is one of those people who instantly warms your spirit.
Her love creeps in and quietly embraces you when you need it most. Her smile is soft, and gentle; it reminds me of what it feels like to snuggle under a warm blanket on a rainy day, or that “first-sip-feeling” of a freshly-brewed cup of hot tea.
I can remember meeting her for the first time. I instantly wondered how she managed to accomplish everything that she does; it’s almost like she had a certain “super power” that propelled her forward, landing her ahead of the rest of the world.
Dianne’s whole life has been a quiet dedication to the people she loves. Being the oldest of eight kids meant she had to step up as a caregiver pretty early on—sometimes whether she wanted to or not. Talking to her, it’s obvious that she doesn’t hold bitterness toward her past, but rather, embraces it, and recognizes the beauty that came from her journey. Those chaotic early days paved the way for her to be a good mom to three truly amazing and unique kids of her own, who are now out in the world living their own lives.
These days, Dianne’s passion is with her church, where she works in the music department as the Administrator and magical “doer-of-all-things”. She pours her heart into sustaining the pieces that make a choir of over 100 people stick together. Sitting in the quiet moments between choir rehearsals, she often finds herself looking back at the long, winding road that brought her here. Roping in the chaos, leading the way as she’s always done, and managing to take a “Holy Pause” to soak up the joy that music unloads for her. Singing in two different choirs throughout the year isn’t just a hobby; it’s a form of prayer, a way she recharges her spirit and sits with her faith.
I’ve realized that the light within her isn’t a static thing; it is a living, breathing part of who she is. It is the color of twilight after a long, fulfilling day—a gentle, rolling wave that keeps her grounded when life gets loud, and Dianne knows that light is meant to be shared, not hoarded.
I asked her what advice she’d give the world, and she responded by saying, “Slow down. Realize that there is good in the world, and share that good and "light" with those around you.” Dianne’s words are a beautiful reminder that our own light only burns brighter when we live with intent, find the goodness in the world, and freely pass it along.
Thank you, Dianne, for sharing your inner light with the world.

What does Dianne's painting reflect?
This painting is a visual reflection of Dianne’s beautiful spirit, painted with peace and warmth at the center. The soft, luminous washes of her favorite purples and blues rise gracefully from the bottom, carrying an uplifting energy upward. From above, a warm, golden glow breaks through the atmosphere, representing the radiant shine of her unique inner light. This gentle illumination pours down directly upon the delicate, clustered choir below, enveloping them in warmth, grace, and harmony.
